RVA Community Fridges are a mutual aid initiative combating food insecurity in the Richmond, Virginia area. There are currently 17 fridges in the city, each providing 24/7 access to food!
Free food.
No ID required. No appointments. No registration.
Community powered.
Community fridges are free, community-run refrigerators where anyone can take what they need or leave what they can.

Anyone can make their own community fridge.
We use a few metrics to determine which locations will be voted on for a new fridge. -

Anyone can use the fridge at any time of the day, without permission.
Making and delivering food for the fridges, as well as taking from the fridges, is free for anyone to do.
